Control the SoundControl The Sound is a group of 11 year old musicians from Brooklyn who play rock/funk/ska classics with the same high energy and enthusiasm as they do their originals. When they play musicians bob their heads and kids put down their phones.
The PensTHE PENS are known for distinctive original songs with influences spanning outlaw-country, Latin-saloon-surf, rock, and folk. Alt-Americana at its finest.

Harsh Crowd
Harsh Crowd is a rock band that formed in 2013 after meeting at Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls in Brooklyn, NY. Harsh Crowd may be young (they're all 14 years old), but they’ve already opened for Sharon Van Etten at Cooper Union, Hurray for the Riff Raff! at Bowery Ballroom, and shared a Central Park SummerStage bill with young metallers Unlocking the Truth. This past December, they played the Ace Hotel’s “5 at 5” opening for and backing Mirah, and most recently shared the stage with Mac DeMarco. At a recent Feminist Press benefit at Le Poisson Rouge, Harsh Crowd worked up a version of Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” and had the Indigo Girls’ Amy Ray come on stage to sing it with them. Not too shabby for a group who plan to release their 2nd EP before any of the members reach the 10th Grade.
